Course Objective:
A Nationally Recognised Training Course of 2 days duration that is conducted utilising the 7th edition of the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by road or rail and the South Australian, Dangerous Substances (Dangerous Goods Transport) Regulations 2008. Successfully completing this course leads to applying for a Dangerous Goods Driver Licence from SafeWork SA.

Course Prerequisites:
- Participants MUST be 18 years of age and over
- Participants MUST reside in South Australia
- Participants MUST have a South Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to use and understand basic English
- Good computers skills
Please Note:
- Driver licence means a licence (including a probationary and a conditional licence but not including a provisional or learner’s licence or permit) issued under the Motor Vehicles Act 1959 or a law of another State or a Territory of the commonwealth that corresponds to that Act authorising the driver to drive a road vehicle
- Some road offenses can make participants ineligible for the licence for a period of time
- Neat casual clothing with enclosed footwear is required for the course
- On successful completion of the course, participants receive a Statement of Attainment for this Unit of Competency and a statement of their assessment. The participant will then need to apply, with these training documents and other information, to SafeWork SA for the grant of a licence
- Renewable every 3 years by completing the entire 2 days again. There is no refresher training
- All students will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to receive their certificates and or cards.
